Your Train: Canadian

The Canadian’s carriage date back to the Golden Age of North American railroads.

Cabin couchette

This is an open compartment with two wide armchairs opposite each other. At night, the opposite seats are pushed together to form a wide bed and a second bed is folded down from the ceiling (lying area: 109 × 178 cm). Heavy curtains ensure the desired privacy. Washbasin, shower and toilet are available as communal facilities at the end of each wagon.

Sleeper (twin compartment)

In this category, a closed compartment (220 × 151 cm and toilet room, 84 × 64 cm) is at your sole disposal. In addition to two freely movable chairs, your compartment also includes a separate toilet and its own sink with mirror and plug. Just a few meters away is the shower, which is available to all travellers of that wagon. For the night rides, the sleeper supervisor prepares your beds one above the other (lying area: 79 × 180 cm).

Sleeper (single compartment)

In this category you book a private compartment (196 × 110 cm) with a comfortable seat, which is converted into a bed for night trips (lying area: 76 × 180 cm; narrowing from hip height to 66 cm). Toilet, sink, mirror, and plug are part of the equipment. After the bed is folded down, the toilet and sink can no longer be used. The communal shower installed in the middle of the wagon is easily accessible via the aisle.

Prestige Sleeper Class

In the Prestige Sleeper Class, you have the opportunity to travel in compartments with a private shower and toilet. The newly refurbished cars in this category offer, as further advantages compared to the traditional sleeper car, over 50% larger compartments, a 60% larger panoramic window, a minibar service and a flat screen with access to a selection of films. In the compartment, free drinks are served on request.

Your train: Rocky Mountaineer

With the Rocky Mountaineer you drive through the unique mountain world of the Rocky Mountains only during the day, so that all scenic highlights are presented in the best light. There are two classes to choose from onboard the train: SilverLeaf and GoldLeaf.

SilverLeaf Class

In the SilverLeaf Class you travel in an air-conditioned open-plan car. Especially large windowpanes up to the roof allow you a fantastic panoramic view on both sides of the route. The seats are in the direction of travel; Breakfast and lunch are served at your seat; a free alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink with lunch and the free choice between two main courses characterize this class of service. Due to the train configuration, a transition between the two classes is not possible.

GoldLeaf (only bookable for the Canada tours)

With the GoldLeaf, you choose first-class service. As a guest in this class, you will experience special care, which begins at the station with a separate counter. You enter the Rocky Mountaineer first and are directed to your reserved seat in the so-called Dome Car. Here you sit on the air-conditioned upper floor on comfortable armchairs under a continuous glass dome, which constantly grants you a fascinating all-round view. Excellent, freshly prepared delicacies are served in the dining car on the lower floor. At the end of the train is an open viewing platform. The very comfortable seats swivel so you can both drive forward and sit opposite in groups of 4 people.
